Cookie Policy
Last updated: 20 September 2026
This site uses technical cookies that are essential for the site to work, for which no user consent is required. The site also embeds a Facebook media player (the "Little Big Italy" video), which is only loaded after the user's explicit consent, in accordance with Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC. Consent can be given, refused or withdrawn at any time via the banner shown on first visit or the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that websites save on the user's device during browsing. They allow the site to remember information between pages (e.g. preferred language) and to function correctly.
2. Technical cookies used
The site determines the language (Italian/English) solely from the URL path (/it, /en) and does not set any technical or preference cookie for this purpose. The only data stored locally on the user's device is the consent choice regarding the Facebook video described in section 3, stored via the browser's localStorage (a technology treated the same as cookies under the ePrivacy rules, though not strictly an HTTP cookie) and not shared with anyone.
| Name | Type | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| bellambriana_cookie_consent_v1 | Technical / persistent (localStorage, not an HTTP cookie) | 12 months | Stores the user's choice (accept/reject) regarding Facebook third-party cookies |
3. Third-party cookies (Facebook)
The section of the site dedicated to the "Little Big Italy" TV feature includes a video hosted by Facebook, shown through an embedded player (iframe). This content is NOT loaded automatically: the user first sees a static preview and a message asking for explicit consent. Only by clicking "Accept and watch the video" (or by consenting via the initial banner) is the Facebook player actually loaded; from that moment Facebook Ireland Ltd. may set its own third-party cookies according to its own privacy policy (https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/). If the user refuses or makes no choice, the Facebook content is not loaded and the video can still be viewed directly on facebook.com via the provided link. Other links on the site (Google Maps, Instagram) take the user to external sites through ordinary hyperlinks: any cookies set there occur exclusively on those services' domains, outside the control of the owner of this site, and only if the user chooses to click them.
4. Server session cookies (Vercel)
The Vercel hosting infrastructure may set anonymous technical session cookies necessary for load balancing and CDN security. These cookies contain no personal data and expire at the end of the browsing session. For more details: https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
5. Managing cookies
You can block or delete technical cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling technical cookies may affect some website features (e.g. language memory). • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies • Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Cookies • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
